How to Install the FUELMiser® MPX:

View and print instructions.

Please read all instructions before beginning the installation of the FUELMiser MPX.

1.
Take the FUELMiser MPXSM and the two (2) plastic fasteners out of the package.
2.
Thread the plastic fasteners through the holes on one half of the FUELMiser so that the large portion of the plastic fastener’s grip faces forward.
3.
Thread the plastic fasteners through the other half of the FUELMiser and pull through so that the space between the two halves is slightly more that the width of the fuel line.
4.
Find the inbound fuel line and locate the section closest to the carburetor or fuel injectors.
5.
Place the FUELMiser on the fuel line and slip the ends of the plastic fasteners through the grips.
6.
Tighten the plastic fasteners until the two halves of the FUELMiser are facing each other and are parallel. DO NOT PULL TOO TIGHT, as optimal installation is when the two halves are parallel.
7.
The two halves do not need to touch in any way. So long as both halves are parallel, and the FUELMiser unit is snug on the fuel line, it will do it's job for the life of your vehicle.

Find the Correct (Inbound) Fuel Line:
Most fuel injected vehicles have 2 fuel lines; the inbound line (install FUELMiser on this line) that brings the fuel from the fuel tank to the engine; and the outbound line (wrong line) that returns excess fuel back to the fuel tank. It may be difficult to tell which line is which. FUELMiser only works when installed on the INBOUND fuel line. Install FUELMiserThe inbound fuel line can be difficult to differentiate from the out bound fuel line since they each tend to go to the same location in the engine. In virtually all cases, the inbound line will be larger than the outbound line. Additionally, the inbound line may be marked with information that says “to engine”. Ideally you want to install the FUELMiser on the inbound line in the engine compartment. If you are unable to install in the engine compartment, you will need to install the FUELMiser under the vehicle. Locate the inbound fuel line by closely examining which line goes through a fuel filter. Once you locate the fuel filter, install the FUELMiser between the fuel filter and the engine. For optimum results, we suggest attaching the unit as close to the point of combustion as is safely and conveniently possible. Your FUELMiser unit will work anywhere along the fuel line. Results may vary in accordance with your specific placement.

If you are not an automotive professional:
Print these instructions and take them to your local Service Center and ask if the technician can point out the inbound fuel line. Or, have them install it for you. Most charge only a small amount for this service.

Always keep Safety First: FUELMiser is a safe device but as with all fuel system components, there should be NO direct contact of FUELMiser with any hot surfaces (i.e.: engine, manifold, exhaust system, etc.). to avoid possibility of conducting excessive heat to the fuel line.
